We took over the hotel in April 2018, a snowy Easter.
The bar used to be the old bank’s counter, the ceiling beams came from boats. Great features, of course, and worth cherishing, but there was work to do too. Refurbishing. Redecorating. Adding a touch of TLC.
We’re very proud of the glowing reviews we’ve received since then.
We are overwhelmed and delighted to announce that The Garden Arms Hotel has been accredited with Visit Scotlands “Taste Our Best” award.
We have been assessed by Visit Scotland on our front of house staff, bar staff and predominantly our kitchen, chef, quality of food, preperation and presentation. Along with the fact that over 40% of our daily menu is Scottish and locally sourced.
We appreciate the support from our friends and customers along with local suppliers at Inshore Fish supplies, John Stewart Quality butchers, TPS Fruit n veg, CJ Grant.
